Week 02: Practical Grammar – Sentence Structure: Types Of Sentences –
based on function e.g. Interrogative Sentences, Declarative Sentences, Imperative sentences and Exclamatory sentences.

Week 03: Parts of Speech: Major word classes, Nouns – with further
classifications (regular, countable; uncountable; singular; plural), Gender: Definite & Indefinite Gender, Common Gender,
Pronouns.

Week 04: Parts of Speech: Verbs – Transitive and Intransitive verbs, Adjectives, Adverbs – with further classifications. Preposition, Conjunctions and Interjections.

Week 05: Articles: Definite, Indefinite. Classification Of Words According To Their Usage In Sentence.

Week 06: Paragraph Writing: writing techniques. Kinds Of Paragraphs: Descriptive, Narrative, Expository, Argumentative paragraphs.

Week 07: Modals And Auxiliary Verbs

Week 08: Application Writing

Week 09: Vocabulary: Antonyms, Synonyms, One word
Substitution.

Week 10: Transformation Of Sentences. Active and Passive voice.

Week 11: Parts of a Sentence – subject, predicate.
Types Of Sentences: Simple, Compound, Complex, Compound complex, Phrases, Clauses – types and functions. Sentence fragments, Run-on sentences.

Week 12: Composition and comprehension, Précis Writing

Week 13: Introduction To Presentation Skills

Week 14: Presentations

Week 15: Presentations

Week 16: Open-Book Test
