Course Management System - UET Taxila
Course Instructor: Gulistan Raja, Assistant Professor, EED.
This course describes how to build machines that can execute instructions at a reduced execution time or at higher performance. It also describes the forces which drive the development of new organizational techniques, the decisions that must be made to develop successful computer designs, and performance criteria that can be used to make these design decisions. The objective of this course is:
-> Understand the fundamentals and strategies of digital computer design.
-> Introduce design concepts used in computer architecture to improve performance of computers.
-> Design general purpose computer architecture.
-> Techniques for analyzing, designing and improving computer architecture.
-> Understand the HDL design principles for computer design.
-> How to do research in computer architecture.
