  1. Accepting qualified Industry Employees in Full Time Masters and PhD programs of the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila (UET Taxila) without any Fee, provided that the employer agrees to approve study leave for accepted employees for 18 and 36 months respectively.

  2. Placement of UET Taxila Full Time Masters and PhD Scholars on Industrial Research Projects at Industrial Sites / Research Labs / Facilities for 12 and 36 months respectively.

  3. UET Taxila intends to establish Industrial Professorship at UET Taxila and will be eager to consider and involve Engineers, Scientists and Dignitaries from the Industry whereby they spend 2-3 days a month at the University and also agree to guide Masters and PhD students in the following categories:

    a. Title of Industry Aces highlights the Prominent Industry leaders, having significant experience and clout in the Industry (Existing and Ex-CEOs, Chairmen of Boards and Secretaries etc.).

    b. Title of Full Industrial Professor having PhD and 15+ years of Industry experience

    c. Title of Associate Industry Professor having PhD and 10+ years of Industry experience

    d. Title of Assistant Industry Professor with PhD and 5+ years of Industry experience

    In lieu of their presence in UET Taxila and services provided, the engaged individuals will get honoraria (Industry Ace, Industry Professor, Associate Industry Professor and Assistant Industry Professor) and benefits comparable to the faculty of UET Taxila for producing Masters and PhDs.
  4. Industrial PhD: Funded by Industry and other Funding agencies for research grants, the scholars are identified and recruited through a competitive process after advertisement in the National press for a duration of 36 months. The purposes of Industrial PhD initiative are:

    a.
    To train individuals as researchers who have insight into the commercial aspects of research and development

    b. To build up personal network for the exchange of knowledge between Companies, Universities and Foreign Research Institutions

    c. To promote the opportunities for development of Pakistan’s Business Community
  5. Student Support Fund: Recently, UET Taxila has decided to combine A1 and A2 categories into Category A and similarly combining two categories for Chakwal into one from the forthcoming Admission. A2 fee structure is abolished and a Unified fee structure will be put in place. The Admission in this category will be purely on merit. The students in financial need will apply for Financial Assistance separately at the time of Admission. Subject to their Admission their request for Financial Assistance will be opened, evaluated and decision to award Financial Assistance will be made accordingly. With an initial amount of Rs. 20.00 Million, UET Taxila has established STUDENT SUPPORT FUND (SSF) which will be enhanced with the contribution of the individuals, organizations, national and international donors etc.
  6. Alumni Support for Engineering Complex: The Government of Pakistan has approved Rs. 200 Million for the construction of Engineering Complex i.e. 80,000 SQFT. The total cost of the planned complex i.e. approximately 500,000 SQFT is Rs. 800 Million. UET Taxila seeks support from the Industry, Alumni and other Funding Agencies to generate Rs. 600 million in three years.
  7. Signing of MOUs with UET Taxila: Industries, National and Multi-National Organizations and Institutes will be signing Memorandum of Understanding with UET Taxila to build relations and to contribute towards the economy of the Nation by special offerings for their products, services and support through these MoUs.
