ONE DAY SEMINAR
ON “ROAD SAFETY ISSUES IN PAKISTAN”

At Conference Hall, Admin Block, UET Taxila
TITE (Taxila institute of Transportation Engineering)
organized a one day seminar on Road Safety Issues
in Pakistan. Very informative lectures were delivered
by Representatives of NH & MP (National Highway
and Motorway Police) North Zone, Rescue 1122 (Rawalpindi
HQ), Poly Clinic Islamabad and 3M. About 120 participants
including Drivers, Students and faculty attended
the seminar.
President of the event Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abbas
Chaudury (Vice Chancellor) took up the opening
Session of the seminar and delivered his some
valuable comments on Road safety and its importance.
Director TITE Prof. Dr. M.A. Kamal explained the
role of his research center for road safety campaign.
Then Dr. Kamran the Chief Organizer announced
the future aims of TITE including formation of
STARS (Society for Traffic and Road Safety) and
the Road Safety research center at the platform
of TITE.
Then the Representatives from the NH & MP,
Rescue 1122, Polyclinic and 3M delivered their
presentations and discussed their roles regarding
this issue. In the end, Shields are awarded by
the Director TITE, Prof. Dr. M.A. Kamal to the
Presenters.
