UET Taxila Holds the Second Industry-Academia Linkage
meeting on 30th April 2011

The University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila arranged the second meeting on Industry –Academia Linkage on 30th April 2011. The first meeting of the series was held in November 2010. The objectives of the efforts include a stronger collaboration between the Industrial partners and the academia to improve the quality of education, promotion of research and development culture and solution of industrial problems. Dr Muhammad Abbas Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor UET Taxila stressed the need of Industrial collaboration and highlighted the efforts made since the last meeting. Focal persons from the major faculties presented the progress and future plans. Industrial partners belonging to diverse industrial organizations discussed various issues of collaboration such as design house, short courses of industrial importance, new product development. Top Management Commitment, Automated Database, Test Centers, Training of Trainers, Industrial Liaison Office, Utility Regulation Master’s Program, Center of Excellence for Calibrations, Sick Industries, Establishment of New Office Research Innovation & Technological Development.
