CIM SYSTEM
  Computer Integrated Manufacturing System

Computer Integrated Manufacturing system (Open CIM) is the culmination of state-of-the-art CIM technology. Designed for the educator, the Open CIM utilizes a combination of computers, CNC machinery, robots, and materials handling equipment, communications networks, and software. The result is threefold: maximum flexibility, modular environment. Open CIM systems include the basic Open CIM configuration consists of four FMS work stations (ASRS, CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, Quality Control and Vision), and a Central Management Control station. The CIM system can be used to replicate the operation of a complete automatic factory, or each FMS station individually.

SCORBOT-ER-9
This robot provides all the necessary features for integration into CIM and FMS environments. As an educational training tool, the SCORBOT-ER-9 system provides a powerful and safe didactic environment.
The SCORBOT-ER-9 is an open, vertically articulated 5-axis robot. A stand-alone, real-time, multi-tasking controller allows simultaneous and independent operation of several programs, grouping of axes for multiple device control, and program editing while others are running.

ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System)
ASRS- include 36 cells for parts transfer templates or raw stock feeders; templates and feeders allow hundreds of parts to be loaded into the CIM production system without human intervention.

Machine Vision Systems and Quality Control
Viewflex can function as a stand-alone vision system, or be fully integrated with Eshed Robotec's entire line of robots. It provides SCORBOT robots with information about the dynamic changes in its surroundings (i.e., location of various objects randomly placed within the robot's work envelope and the camera's viewing area). A synchronization module provides easy linking of the robot's coordinate system to the vision coordinates. Vision and robot operational commands are entered into a single application program, using a menu driven environment. An integrated screen displays real-time
