THE
DEPARTMENT
Mechanical Engineering is a highly versatile and
diversified engineering discipline. On one hand
it is concerned with the design of machines and
equipment that use energy and convert it into
useful work. On the other hand it deals with the
design and development of those machines that
are used for manufacturing, production and process
equipment. The department offers four years degree
program leading to BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
At present, around 600 students in BSc, 150 students
in MSc and 60 students in PhD are enrolled in
the program.
