4t Alumni Reunion was organized on May 16th 2015 at hotel Margala Islamabad. More than 200 alumni from senior as well as recently graduated batches attended the reunion evening. Highlights of the evening including the launch of scholarship program for needy students of the university. President alumni association Prof.Dr.Mumtaz Ahmad Kamal gave detailed briefing about the initiatives of the association and emphasized the objective of the reunion to promote and establish mutually beneficial relations ship between the University, its alumni and other key stake holders from academic, professional and social sectors. It was remarkable step taken by Alumni Association to connect experienced senior and junior alumni with each other. Industrialist, Executive officers of top ranked companies of Pakistan were invited as alumni. In order to promote further networking and coordination regional level reunions will be organized at Multan and Faisalabad chapters in the next month.
Governor KPK Eng. Shaukat Ullah was guest of honor of the evening as alumnus of the university. He recalled golden memories of UET Taxila life and appreciated the efforts of the association for organizing reunions frequently for the promotion of linkages among taxalains. Eng. Shakeel Akhtar created delightful environment with his wonderful style of hosting.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr.Niaz Ahmad Akhtar highlighted the innovative programs of the university including development schemes and research initiatives. He offered all alumni to show their ownership for university matters with due participation and involvement. He also emphasized that Alumni should visit university even once in a year to show their active participation in research and academic matters of university and be an active part of various academic and administrative bodies of the university. They can bring various new ideas projects for the betterment of the university. Mushaira was organized at the end for the creation of literary element in the evening. The Vice Chancellor presented university souvenirs to poets at the end.
