I hold Doctor of Science Degree in Engineering Management
from the George Washington University, Washington DC.
USA and possess over 25 years of management experience
at national and international levels. I have strong
expertise in creating and managing world class ITC institutions.
I am experienced in Technology Administration, Education
and Training, Organization Design and Development, Human
Resource Management, Financial Syndication, Econometric
Modelling and Operations Management and managing corporate
institutions. I led technology and management teams
and provided services to multinationals like Unisys
Corporation, Automatic Data Processing Inc., State of
Connecticut, and Government of Washington DC in USA.
I am seasoned enough to interact with international
donors, academicians, researchers, corporate decision
makers, government officials, political representatives
and operational management staff with equal strength
and condor.
I remained Director Policy and Research
and International Coordination at Pakistan Telecommunications
Authority and have thorough knowledge of Pakistan’s
ITC organizations, infrastructure, strengths, potentials
and problems. I have extensively written on telecom
policy and management issues and was among the team
who worked on USF base document while I was at PTA.
I have also participated in numerous international for
a, training workshops, seminars, conferences and training
programs and strong credentials on technology and management.
I was also a lead contender for the position of Member
Telecom at Ministry of IT and Telecom. I have published
over 50 international conference/journal papers with
my colleagues and written professional reports and research
studies on various management issues, contract administration,
finance, and HRD.
I was first and founding Vice Chancellor
of Balochistan University of IT and Management Sciences
one of HEC-FAD partner institution. While Vice Chancellor
at BUITMS, we established academic and research collaboration
agreements with University of Minnesota, USA, George
Washington University, USA, Glasgow University, UK,
University of Sistan in Iran, and Adelaide University,
Australia. During my tenure, a fully functional University
with 3000 students, 250 faculty members, over 20 graduate
and postgraduate program and assets of over 5 billion
rupees with over a 1000 million on-going projects were
under implementation at BUITMS. I also remained Project
Coordinator for Pakistan-Sweden University of Engineering
Sciences and Technology. I have strong expertise in
Resource Mobilization, Financial Syndication, Organization
Design and Development, Human Resource Management and
Operations Management. I have proven track record of
creating and managing education management groups and
organizations.
