1-Day Hands-On Workshop on Getting started with Arduino
by
Prof. Ahmad S. Rana, Villanova University, USA
Since the time of its establishment Chakwal
Campus has always provided its students with variety of opportunities
to have hands on experience of dealing with real life technical
problems. Keeping the tradition, Department of Mechatronics
Engineering organized 1-Day Hands-On Workshop, getting started
with Arduino on 17th November, 2014. We are really thankful
to Dr. Ahmad S. Rana for dedicating one whole day to our students
from his busy schedule.
The workshop primarily focused on the basic introduction of
Arduino, its basic features, and computational methodologies
and its applications. Students learned how to interface Arduino
with different external devices and electrical circuits and
design an integral embedded systems.
Apart from working as Research Engineer at Schlumberger Dr.
Rana also holds the position of Adjunct Professor at Villanova
University where he teaches Mechatronics. Having hands-on experience
of dealing with real life technical problems faced by a Mechatronics
Engineer in the present day industry he had plenty to offer
to our students.
The concluding session was chaired by Campus Director, Prof.
Dr. Aftab Ahmad in which certificates were distributed among
the participants of the workshop. As a token of appreciation,
university memento was presented to Dr. Ahmad S. Rana by the
Campus Director.
