Library Automation System UET Taxila

The Central Library UET Taxila has launched its newly developed web based Library Automation System named as UET LIBAS which can be accessed using following address:

http://library.uettaxila.edu.pk

DESCRIPTION
Project includes all library related automation work in web based application. Developed in ASP.NET with SQL Server 2000 and Crystal Reports by Mr. Khurram Zeeshan Haider (Jr. Programmer UET Taxila).

Launching ceremony was held in digital video conference hall, central library on Tuesday dated: 25/03/2009 at 11:00 AM.
Prof. Aftab Ahmed, Chairman Library Committee was the chief guest of the ceremony. The following were present:

• Prof. Dr. Hashim Nisar, Chairman CIVIL Deptt. Member of the Library Committee
• Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khalil, Chairman ELECTRICLE. Member of the Library Committee
• Prof. Dr. Adeel Akram, Chairman Telecom Deptt.
• Eng. Shahbaz Pervaiz Chattha, Dir. Digital Library
• Library staff

The ceremony was started with the recitation of Holy Quran. Mr. Muhammad Anwar, Librarian, cordially welcomed the honorable guests and presented his views about the LIBAS. Mr. Mahar Khurram Zeeshan Haider (Jr. Programmer) and Mr. Bashir Ahmed (Cataloger) gave a presentation about newly developed web based application (UET LIBAS), its main features, objectives and other information regarding this project. At the end there was Questions/Answers session. All the honorable guests appreciated the work and gave suggestions.
