Education Commission conducted a grand function in the
auditorium of HEC building, Sector H-9, Islamabad, in
which the best University teacher awards were conferred
to the Best teachers of all public universities of Pakistan.
The awards were conferred for the teachers
of year 2008 by the In-Charge HEC Ms. Shahnaz Wazir
Ali. This award is given to one teacher of the university
in a year. The selection is made on the basis of teaching,
research and administration in which the teaching has
the highest weightage and that is assessed on the basis
of evaluation made by the students. In this function,
Prof. Dr. Hashim Nisar Hashmi, Department of Civil Engineering
University of Enigneering and Technology Taxila, is
awarded the “best teacher award” for the
year 2008.
