COURSE DESCRIPTION Introduction to Computers
Instructor: Engr. Romana Shahzadi
Class: 1st Semester Industrial Engineering
Objectives:
Introduction to computers is designed to help students become computer literate by:
1) Examining the computer concepts of computer technology
2) Acquiring practical operating system and productivity software skills
3) Developing basic programming applications and problem solving techniques. Labs will introduce students to Windows XP, Microsoft Office productivity software, internet browsing, web page design, basics of Matlab and program applications in C++. Individual and group learning styles will be practiced.
