I am Qazi Muhammad Nouman Amjad, currently employed as a Senior Scientific
Officer at one of Pakistan's esteemed defense organizations—Alhumdulillah.
My academic journey began with the completion of my Master's degree in Physics in 2013 from
the University of Wah, Wah Cantt, where I had the honor of graduating with distinction and
receiving the Gold Medal. Following that, I ventured into teaching at the Intermediate level
while actively seeking opportunities to pursue my MS/M. Phil degree in physics.
In February 2014, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila introduced the MS
degree in Physics for the first time in its history. The competition was intense, with over
100 applicants, and only 50 were selected for interviews. Fortunately, I secured admission,
becoming part of the inaugural batch of MS Physics at the Department of Basic Sciences
(Physics faculty was the part of this at that time) .
This marked the beginning of a transformative period for me. The department, under the
guidance of its proficient Physics faculty, provided a conducive learning environment.
Encouraged by their skills and expertise, I delved into research, resulting in two
publications in international journals during my MS journey. Today, Alhumdulillah,
I have a total of six international publications in reputable journals and conferences.
I attribute my success to the collective efforts and prayers of my own, the dedicated
Physics faculty, my supportive family, and friends. As I continue to serve my nation,
I extend my best wishes to the newly formed Department of Physical Sciences (Previously
was the part of Department of Basic Sciences), and UET Taxila. May they progress
vigorously and achieve great milestones. Wishing this esteemed institution all the very best.
