What we offer
The Department of Physical Sciences currently offers two comprehensive degree programs:
Undergraduate Program (BS Physics):
- A four-year program designed to provide students with a solid foundation in Physics.
- The program covers a diverse range of topics, equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary
for further studies or careers in various scientific fields.
Postgraduate Program (MS Physics):
- A two-year program offering advanced studies in Physics.
- The MS Physics program has been successfully running since 2014, providing students with opportunities for
specialized research and academic growth.
Exciting News!
We are pleased to announce that the Department has received approval for a PhD program in Physics from the Academic
Council and Syndicate. We plan to welcome the first intake of PhD students in the Fall 2024 session, marking a
significant milestone in our commitment to advanced research and academic excellence.
In addition to our degree programs, the Department of Physical Sciences plays a pivotal role in the education of
undergraduate students across various Engineering Faculties, offering physics and chemistry courses.
