UET Taxila

Industrial Advisory Board (IAB)

After signing the Washington Accord by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), it is mandatory for engineering universities to switch current teaching and evaluation system to Outcome Based Education (OBE) System. In future all engineering programs will be accredited on OBE. The UET, Taxila has decided to adopt OBE system in all engineering disciplines.

Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) have advised all the Universities and their departments to form an Industrial Advisory Board (IAB). The members from the Industry and Government / Private organizations give their valuable feedback regarding department’s mission, objectives and especially about course contents which are currently being taught in the department. The IAB will also guide the department about the industry/market needs and help the department in orienting their curriculum as per the needs of the industry/market to help in the socio-economic development of the country. Based on the vast experience and expertise of industrial experts, the Electrical Engineering Department of University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila constituted the IAB.
