POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM

The department plans to start M.Sc. program for Environmental Engineering from next year. Most of the postgraduate students in M.Sc. program will belong to the construction industry and acts as a bridge for university to industry linkage that makes research in the department to be practical and useful for the country. The introduction of the PHD program later on will further enrich the research activities in the department.

Research is being carried out in the following areas.

2. Wastewater Engineering
3. Water Reclamation and Reuse
4. Environmental Modeling & Optimization
5. Air & Noise Pollution Engineering
6. Solid Waste Management

Numerical modeling and computer applications in all the research activities are being given special attention. The courses of study have been designed on the basis of present needs of the market. The students trained to work independently for solving complex real world problems.
