Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors (MLSA)-UETT hosted an inspiring
series of tech sessions on Hacktoberfest '24 to explore the world of open-source contribution.
On October 28th, 2024, a session led by Hamza Sajid, the Community Manager and Beta MLSA, introduced
students to Git and GitHub, covering everything from basics to advanced tips for Hacktoberfest contributions.
Syed Mozzam Ali, another Beta MLSA, followed with guidance on making impactful pull requests, sharing his own
Hacktoberfest success and experience as a maintainer, and allowing participants one pull or merge request.
On November 4th, 2024, Muhammad Hamza, also a Beta MLSA, guided students on how to join and engage with the MLSA
community, providing them with insights on how to leverage this global network for skill development and tech growth.
Later that day, Engr. Raja Ahmad, Azure & Modern Workplace Solutions Specialist at Microsoft,
was welcomed for an engaging on-campus session where he shared insights into emerging tech fields and provided a roadmap
for a successful career in technology. His guidance offered clarity to students eager to align their skills with industry
trends, making the sessions inspiring and enriching. Swag and certificates were distributed to participants and volunteers
as tokens of appreciation.
