The Department of Software Engineering at UET Taxila, in collaboration with Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors (MLSA) UET Taxila and Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) UET Taxila, proudly hosted the Open House and Job Fair 2025 on June 2nd, 2025, for the graduating batch of Session-2021. This event served as a vibrant platform for final-year students to present their capstone projects, showcasing technical expertise and creative solutions to real-world problems.
A total of 35 diverse projects were exhibited, covering cutting-edge domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Health Technologies, Web and Mobile Applications, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing. These projects demonstrated not only technical proficiency but also the students’ creativity and ability to transform academic concepts into impactful solutions.
The event drew participation from leading industry professionals and recruiters, who interacted with students, reviewed their work, and offered valuable feedback. These meaningful exchanges not only enriched the students' professional insights but also opened avenues for internships and job placements.
Dr. Tabassam Nawaz, Chairman of the Software Engineering Department, joined the company representatives for a lunch and meeting session, where they discussed ways to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. During his visit, Dr. Tabassam commended the MLSA and GDSC organizing teams for their outstanding efforts, professionalism, and dedication in making the event a success.
