PhD in Computer Science

The department of Computer Science at UET Taxila was established in 2012 after approval from HEC, Islamabad under the Faculty of Telecommunication, and Information Engineering. The department of Computer Science is offering the admissions in PhD Computer Science degree program since 2017.

The main objective of this program is to provide a route to professional doctorate and to prepare scientific/educational manpower with depth of knowledge and research competence of international level to fill positions in Research Organizations, Industry, Management, Universities, Health Care and Educational Institutions. Our main aim is to improve the qualifications, skills and expertise of teachers and researchers to provide highly competent professionals to various public and private universities and colleges.

Moreover, students are being guided to perform their research career to excel in research areas like Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Computer/Wireless Network, Network Security and Blockchain etc.
