Summary
The 5G Research group interests are focused on the design and testing
of IoT test beds to improve the present problems in IoT such as
security caching and resource discovery. Severallimitations are
imposed on an IoT system due to Constrained Node (Nodes which have
tight limits on power, memory, and processing resources). So new
set of protocols are required to make communication efficient, this
area is given special importance. Previously the protocols introduced
in this field are CoAP; RPL, MQTT and 6LoWPAN.These resource constrained
protocols are used in IoT environment to provide maximum possible
efficient communication between devices. Extensions to these protocols
are in progress to improve them at the same time research is going
on to introduce new protocols to encounter and solve other problems.
