Invitation
It is a great honor and pleasure to host the International Conference on Recent Development in Science, Technology &
Management (ICRDSTM-2018) from April 19-21, 2018 at University of Engineering and Technology, UET, 47050, Taxila,
Pakistan with a theme of enhancing effective Engineers-Scientist research collaborations by promoting interdisciplinary
research activities among them. This event is host and organized by UET, Taxila and sponsored by the Higher Education
Commission (HEC) Pakistan.
UET, Taxila was established in 1993 with 3 engineering programs i.e. Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil, and now
has grown to more than 10 engineering programs working under the umbrella of Faculty of Electrical & Electronics,
Mechanical & Aeronautical, Civil & Environmental, Telecom, and Industrial & Management Engineering. In addition
to these Faculties, Faculty of Basic Sciences & Humanities is playing the supporting role for all engineering faculties.
Now in 2018, Faculty of Basics Sciences & Humanities is planning to celebrate the 25th anniversary of UET,
Taxila by organizing the ICRDSTM-2018.
The ICRCSTM-2018 will be an attractive event with 3-6 plenary and more than 20 invited lectures by renowned speakers from
all over the world as well as contributed oral and poster presentations. It will be an open forum for participants engaged
in all the areas of modern Science, Technology & Management. I am sure that it will provide valuable insights and new perspectives
for enhancing the cutting edge research activities in the science, engineering and management. I am fully confident that all
participants
from academy and industry will benefit a great deal from this conference for scientific exchanges and recent developments
in their areas.
The congress will be held in Taxila, the centre of Gandhara civilization. Taxila was not only the centre of spiritual influence
but also the cradle of the world famous Gandhara culture, art and learning. It was from these centers that a unique art
of sculpture
originated which is known as Gandhara Art all over the world. Today the Gandhara sculptures occupy a prominent place in the
museums of England, France, Germany, USA, Japan, Korea, China, India and Afghanistan, to-gether with many private collections
world over, as well as a vast collection in the museums of Pakistan. Buddhism left a monumental and rich legacy of art and
architecture in Pakistan. Despite the vagaries of centuries, the Gandhara region preserved a lot of the heritage in craft
and art. Much of this legacy is visible even today in Pakistan. I believe that all the participants can enjoy the site seeing
of old Gandhara civilization and beautiful natural sceneries of Taxila as well as the scientific programs by attending
ICRDSTM-2018 Conference.
