National Mobile Application Competition
UET Taxila won 7th prize at National Mobile Application Competition http://www.pc.gov.pk/nmac/ . Our idea Aik Saath Aik Saath (1717) got 7th position out of 470 contestants that presented their ideas at this competition. [Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/NMACPakistan]
—Aik Saath Aik Saath (1717) is a Citizen-centered community app aimed at real-time reporting of terrorism/crime to relevant authorities (NACTA) as well as to local police station for prompt and timely action to avoid catastrophe and serve as a chain of evidence.
Salient features of the app are as follows
—Space-Time (4-D) localized information doubling up as chain of evidence
—Localized (Clutter free) views depending on where you are
—Designed for coordination among security agencies and quick response

About UET Taxila
With phenomenal increase in students' enrollment in 1970's, a plan to establish additional campuses of the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore was conceived. As a result of that, the University College of Engineering Taxila was established.
