Independence Day Celebration and Inauguration of Tree Plantation Campaign

Independence Day was celebrated in UET, Taxila. Flag hoisting ceremony was held and National Anthem was played.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Inayatullah Khan, Vice Chancellor inaugurated the Tree Plantation Campaign in line with the vision of the Honorable Prime Minister for Green Pakistan. Registrar, Sr. Faculty Members, Officers and staff of the university participated in the event. In the end DUA was offered for the prosperity of Pakistan, Shuhada of Pakistan's Movement and solidarity was expressed with the Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

With phenomenal increase in students' enrollment in 1970's, a plan to establish additional campuses of the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore was conceived. As a result of that, the University College of Engineering Taxila was established.
