The ceremony of MOU between UET Taxila and Meezan Bank Limited (MBL) with 0.5 Million PKR to develop the resources of Islamic Finance concluded in presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Inayatullah Khan (Vice Chancellor, UET Taxila). Allocation of Funds: Meezan Bank Limited has issued funds of worth 0.5 million PKRs initially for the development of UET Taxila resources in Islamic finance with efforts of the Humanities and Social Sciences Department of UET Taxila. With phenomenal increase in students' enrollment in 1970's, a plan to establish additional campuses of the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore was conceived. As a result of that, the University College of Engineering Taxila was established.
