Achievements:
Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at UET Taxila has so far achieved following milestones:

1. Signed MoU with SUPARCO for working on PNSS-1 Program
2. Has invited many public sector engineering organizations, through Ministry of Industries, to establish linkages for promoting joint research. Some of these organizations are HEC, HMC, Engineering Development Board, and State Engineering Corporation.
3. Organized a Lectures on following topics:

a. Smart Grid by Prof. Dr. Raziq Yaqub, USA

b. Videoconferencing Workshop on “Writing Winning Research Proposal for Competitive Grants”.

c. Entrepreneurship by Prof. Dr. Shahid Qureshi, Director for Center for Entrepreneurial Development, IBA, Karchi

d. Technology Entrepreneurship by Mr. Jazib Zahir, Faculty Member in LUMS

e. Technology Incubation Centre by Ms. Sana Choudhary, NUST, Islamabad

4. Signed MoU between UET Taxila and Plan 9, Pakistan’s largest public sector Technology Incubation Center(TIC) working under auspices of Punjab Information Technology Board. Purpose of this MoU is to promote an entrepreneurial spirit amongst students of UET Taxila through collaboration with local partners.
5. Academic Partnership Program between UET Taxila and Alcatel-Lucent, Islamabad(in process)
