ABOUT: MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
Mechanical Engineering is a highly versatile and diversified engineering
discipline. On one hand it is concerned with the design of machines
and equipment that use energy and convert it into useful work. On
the other hand, it deals with the design and development of those
machines that are used for manufacturing, production and process
equipment. The department offers four years’ degree program
leading to BSc in Mechanical Engineering. At present, around 771
students in BSc, 96 students in MSc and 44 students in PhD are enrolled
in the program.
